area of triangle is 1/2×base × height.
so we've been given the area.
if we assume that the height is h, the expression will be
1/2×15×h=87
15×h=87×2
15×h=174
h=174/15=11.6
this is the height of the tirangle

Answer : 11.6 cm

Solution :
_________

Given that : Base of triangle = 15 cm

Area of triangle = 87

We have to find height of triangle

As we know that : Area of triangle

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

According to the question :

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 15 \times height = 87 \\  \\  =  > height =  \frac{87 \times 2}{15}  \\  \\  =  > height = 11.6 \: cm

So, the height of triangle will be 11.6 cm
