(a) In a rectangle, length = 15 cm, breadth = 8 cm, area = ?
(b) In a rectangle, perimeter = 5 m, breadth = 90 cm, length = ?, area = ?
(c) In a square, side = 8cm, perimeter =?, area =?
(d) In a square, area = 81 cm², side = ?, perimeter = ?

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)

area \:  = length \times breadth \\ area = 15 \times 8 = 120 {cm}^{2}

(b)

Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

500 = 2(length + 90)

250 = length + 90

length = 160

so area = 160 × 90 = 14400 square cm.

(c)

area of square = 8 x 8 = 64 square cm.

Perimeter = 4 × 8 = 32 cm.

(d)

area \:  = 81 \\  {side}^{2}  = 81 \\ side = 9 \: cm \\  \\ perimeter \:  = 4 \times 9 = 36 \: cm

2. Area = length × breadth

96 = length × 8

length = 12 cm

so, Perimeter = 2(8 + 12) = 40 cm
