Dear student,

Solution: To solve this question we first know the formula for calculating rhombus area.

Area of Rhombus: 1/2 ( Diagonal 1 x Diagonal 2)

Area of Rhombus: 1/2 ( d1 x d2)

Find the missing values.

Diagonal-1 (d₁) Diagonal -2 (d2) Area of Rohmbus

12 cm ---------16 cm ----------96 cm²

27 mm ---------150 mm ---------2025 mm²

24 m--------- 57.6 m ---------691.2 m²

Case 1:

d1 = 12 cm

d2= 16 cm

Area = 1/2(12 x 16) cm²

= 96 cm²

Case 2:

d1 =27 mm

Area= 2025 mm²

2025 = 1/2(d1 X d2)

2025(2) = 27 d2

d2= 150 mm

Case3: d1=24 m

d2= 57.6 m

area =1/2(24 X 57.6) m²

= 691.2 m²

hope it helps you.

Before we begin to solve this sum, let me tell you the formula of area of rhombus.

Area of a rhombus = (p x q)/2; where p and q are the two diagonals.

Now in the first case, Area = (12 x 16)/2 = 96 cm²

In the second case, 2025 = (27 x q)/2 or, q = (2025 x 2)/27 = 150mm.

In the third case, Area = (24 x 57.6)/2 = 1382.4/2 = 691.2 m²
