Molecular Mass is the mass of the elements present in a compound .

The H2O is water.

Two hydrogen & one carbon compound.

H2O = 2 × Hydrogen + Oxygen

  • Hydrogen atomic mass = 1

  • Oxygen atomic mass = 8 × 2 = 16

➝ H2O = 2 × 1 + 16

➝ 2 + 16

➝ 18 amu

H2O is devided in ratio of 2 : 1.

The H2O is water a universal solvent .

Hydrogen is the first element of periodic table .

Oxygen is 8th element of periodic table.

H - O - H

= H2O
