Given,

1 + i

 =  > \frac{1}{1 + i  }  \\  =  >  \frac{1 - 1}{1 + i ^{2} }  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{2} (1 -i)

∴ Multiplication inverse of 1 + i is 1/2 (1 – i).
