Here, first term(a) = 100, common difference(d) = 110 - 100 = 10 and

We know that,

a_{n} = a + (n - 1)d

⇒ 100 + (n -1)10 = 980

⇒  (n -1)10 = 980 - 100 = 880

⇒  n-1=\dfrac{880}{10}=88

⇒ n = 88 + 1 = 89
