find the nature of the roots of the following quadratic equation. If real roots exist find them

2 x^2 - 3x + 5 = 0

Where,

a = 2
b = -3
c = 5

[ According to ax^2 + bx + c = 0 , we just compared the equation with this]

Now, we know,

D = b^2 - 4ac

D = (-3)^2 - 4 × 2 × 5

D = 9 - 8 × 5

D = 9 - 40

D = - 31

Now, we know,

If D is less than 0 ( D < 0 ) then no real roots exist.

Pikaachu: Discriminant of The Quadratic Equation ! It's the number ( b² - 4ac ) taken from the Quadratic Form : ax² + bx + c = 0 ; which helps discriminate between whether the Roots obtained are "REAL" or "Not Real"

Polynomial is 2x^2 - 3x + 5:

According to graphs of quadratic polynomials ; (ax^2 + bx + c)

If a is positive then graph is in upward parabolic structure while if a is negative then graph's parabola is in downward.

If polynomial is factorizable then curves cut x axis.

Vertex of the graph is (-b/2a, - D/4a)

If polynomial is 2x^2 - 3x + 5:

Graph's parabola opens upwards as 2 >0.

Since it's nt factorisable.. Hence it doesn't cuts X axis And haven't any real roots.

It means parabola is in upward of x-axis.

Vertex of graph = (3/4, 31/8)
