We have , a quadratic polynomial with zeros p and q =x^2 + px + q .

Thus , according to the question
Product of zeros = pq = c/a = q/1

→ pq = q

→ p=1.....(1)

Now , sum of zeros = p+q = -b/a = -p/1

→p+q= -p

→1+q=-1 {using ...(1) }

→q=-1-1

→q=-2 .

Thus , p= 1 and q=-2
