find the nth and 15th term of the sequence 2,5,8,11,14

let's try to solve the question

${ \sf}{given }\:series$

2, 5, 8 , 11 ,14

so first term = 2

and common difference = 5-2= 3

Answer :

${n}^{th} term \: = a + \: (n - 1)d$

$2 + (n - 1)3$

$2 + 3n - 3$

$3n - 1$

Now 15 th term

${15}^{th}term \: = a + 14d$

$2 + 14 \times 3$

$2 + 42$

$44$

Hence nth term = 3n -1

and 15 th term = 44
