a4 = 12

A + 3d = 12______(1)

a7 = 27

A + 6d = 27______(2)

Subtract (1) from (2) equation

A + 6d - ( A + 3d ) = 27 - 12

A + 6d - A - 3d = 15

3d = 15

d = 5

from (1) equation finding value of A

A + 3(5) = 12

A = 12 - 15

A = -3

now,

nth term = A + (n - 1) d

= -3 + (n-1) 5

= -3 + 5n - 5

nth term = 5n - 8 Ans.
