find the number of molecules in 1.8 gram of H2O

albert428: Given mass = 18 grams. Molecular mass of H2O = (2×1) + 16 = 18 grams. Therefore No of moles = Mass of H2O ÷ Molar mass of H20 = 18÷18 = 1

Hii..

Molar Mass of H2O = 18 gm

Given mass = 1.8 gm

Moles = Given mass / Molar mass

=> Moles of H2O = 1.8 / 18 = 1/10 = 0.1 Mole

So, Molecules of H2O = 0.1 NA

NA = Avogadro's number = 6.023×10^23

Hope it helps :)
