Area of tile=10×10=100cm^2

In wall,

6m = 600cm

4m=400cm

Area = 600×400=240000cm^2

number of tiles required to decorate the wall= Area of wall/Area of tile=240000/100=2400

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

Square tiles of size is 10cm

Wall is of 6m * 4m

To find

Total cost of tiles

Solution

As we know size of tiles

hence

area \: of \: tiles = 10 \times 10 = 100 {cm}^{2}

now

area \: of \: wall = 6m \times 4m

as we know 1 m is 100cm hence

area \: of \: wall = 600  \times  400

area \: of \: wall = 240000 {cm}^{2}

now

number \: of \: tiles \: required =  \frac{area \: of \: wall}{area \: of \: tiles}

hence

 =  \frac{240000}{100}  = 2400

let cost of single tile is x then

total cost will be

2400x.
