There are three stereoisomers for 1,2-dichlorocyclopentane.

GI = 2^(n-1) + 2^(p-1)

n is no of chiral carbon

If n is even then p will be n/2, and if n is odd then p will be (n+1)/2

Here no of chiral carbon 2, so p will be n/2 = 2/2 = 1
