Here we have to find a number whose 15% will be equal to 24

So, let us assume the number to be x

So, 15% of x will be equal to 24

   15% of x = 24

     15% × x = 24

(15/100) × x = 24

         0.15x = 24

               x = 24/0.15

               x = 160

Hence, 15% of 160 will be equal to 24

Given: A number whose15\% \ is\  24.

We have to find the number.

  • As we know that a percentage is a fraction of an amount is expressed as a particular number of hundredths of that amount.
  • It is denoted by a symbol%.
  • For example, 5 \%means\frac{5}{100}
  • By using the unitary method we are calculating the percentage of numbers.
  • As we know fractions can be converted into percentages and vice-versa.
  • And percentages are reversible.
  • For example, 50 \% \ of\  60 is the same as60 \% \ of\ 50

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

A number whose15\% \ is\  24.

Let assume the number bex.

Then,

=>x\times\frac{15}{100} =24\\\\=>\frac{15x}{100} =24\\\\=>15x=24\times 100\\\\=>15x=2400\\\\=>x=\frac{2400}{15} \\\\=>x=160

Hence, the number will be160.
