Find the price without GST:

Selling price percentage = 8%

Selling Price = Rs 13500

108% = Rs 13500

1% = 13500 ÷ 108 = Rs 125

100% = 125 x 100 = Rs 12500

GST is levied on x = 8% of x = Rs 8x/100(GST Amount)

According to problem,new price - 8% of old price should be equal to old price,as :

⇒ 13500 - 8x/100 = x

⇒1350000-8x/100 = x   { taking 100 as L.C.M of 1 and 100 }

⇒1350000-8x = x * 100 { transposing 100 to R.H.S}

⇒1350000=100x+8x

⇒1350000/108=x

⇒12500=x

Answer : Hence , original price is Rs 12500.
