Let the original price is X

GST on original price = 8x /100

According to the given question -

$= > x + \dfrac{8x}{100} = 13500$

$= > \dfrac{100x + 8x}{100} = 13500$

$= > \dfrac{108x}{100} = 13500$

$= > 108x = 13500 \times 100$

$= > x = \dfrac{1350000}{108}$

$= > x = 12500$

Hence: The original price is Rs12,500.

12500 x 8/100 = 1000

12500 + 1000 = 13,500
