Area when there is a 10% increase in length and breadth

= l(1 + 10%)×b(1 + 10%)

= lb(1 + 10%)²

Increase rate = lb(1 + 10%)²/lb - 1

= (1 + 1/10)² - 1 = 121/100 - 1 = 21/100

Percentage = 21/100 × 100% = 21%
