here's ur answer....

1. side=8cm

perimeter=side×4

=8×4

=32cm

area=side×side

=8×8

=64cm²

2. side=100m

perimeter=side×4

=100×4

=400m

if he takes 5 rounds then the distance covered by him is=400×5

=2000m

=2km

hope this helps u frnd....

Given,

Side of the square = 8 cm

A boy taking 5 rounds of the square field with side 100 m

To find,

The perimeter of the square

Area of the square

The distance covered by a boy in taking 5 rounds with sides 100 m

Solution,

• The perimeter of the square is calculated with the help of the formula which is given below:

Perimeter = 4 × side

Putting the value of the side of the square given above

We will get, perimeter = 4×8 cm

The perimeter of the square = 32 cm

• Area of the square is calculated with the formula which is given below:

Area of the square = side × side

Putting the value of the square given above

We will get, the area of the square = 8 cm × 8 cm

The area of the square = 64 cm

• A boy is taking 5 rounds of the square having sides 100 m

So the perimeter of the square = 100m × 4

The perimeter of the square = 400 m

The perimeter is equal to the distance of 1 round of the square

So, a distance of 5 rounds of the square = 400m×5

Total distance = 2000m

The distance in kilometres= 2000m/1000m

Total distance = 2 Km

Hence, the perimeter and area of the square is 32 cm and 64 cm and the distance covered by a boy is 2 km.
