Question :)

  • find the perimeter,area and diagonal of a square is 16 cm

Solution :)

(1) Perimeter :-

Perimeter of square = 4 × l

 = 4 \times l \\  = 4 \times 16 \\  = 64 \: cm

(2) Area :-

Area of square = {l}^{2}

 =  {l}^{2}  \\   = 16 \times 16 \\  = 256 {cm}^{2}

(3) Diagonal :-

  • We know that square have all angles 90° and each diagonal is hypotenuse.

 {(16)}^{2}  +  {(16)}^{2}  =  {(diagonal)}^{2}  \\  \\ 256 + 256 = {(diagonal)}^{2} \\  \\ diagonal =  \sqrt{512}  \\  \\ diagonal =  \sqrt{256 \times 2}  = 16 \sqrt{2}  \: cm= 22.624 cm

 \color{Red}{Answer~is~64cm~,~{256cm}^{2}~and~22.624 cm
