area of rhombus=1/2*16*12=8*12=96 cm^2 is answer

side =  \frac{1}{2 }  \sqrt{ {d1 }^{2}  +  {d2}^{2} }  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \sqrt{ {16}^{2} + {12}^{2} }  \\   = 10 \\p erimeter = 4 \times side \\  = 4 \times 10 \\  = 40cm
