The area of a square is the square of its sides so we can say that if the side of the square is taken to be s,


s^2 = 2500 cm^2

hence, s = Square root of 2500 = 50 cms

also, the perimeter of a square with side s is 4 times its side, or 4s.


hence, perimeter = 4s = 50 x 4 = 200 cms
