let the breadth of the rectangle be x therefore length of the rectangle will be 4x.

area of the rectangle=20736cm²

l×b=20736cm²

x×4x=20736cm²

4x²=20736cm²

x²=20736/4

x²=5184

x=√5184

x=72

hence, breadth of the rectangle=x

=72cm

length of the rectangle=4x

=4×72

=288cm

therefore perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(288+72)

=2×360

=720cm
