Find the perimeter of semi-circle whose diameter is 10 cm and and answer of this question should be 25.7 cm

It's the question of NCERT class 7th maths book.

Circumference of circle = πd but this is a semicircle so I divided it from 2 and we have to also add the diameter.


Perimeter of semicircle
= πd/2 + d
= 3.14 X 10 / 2 + 10
= 31.4 / 2 + 10
= 15.7 + 10
= 25.7 cm

Perimeter of a circle= 2pi r

Perimeter of semi-circle = 2 pi r/2  => pi r

=> 22/7 * 5  or 3.14 * 5

=> 15.7 cm

please check ur answer which u have mentioned in the question. I think it’s wrong coz answer is 15.7 only.
