Correct Question :

Find the perimeter of square of side 15m. Also find the area of square

Answer :

Perimeter = 60 m

Area = 225 m²

Step-by-step explanation :

  \setlength{\unitlength}{1cm}\begin{picture}(0,0)\thicklines\multiput(0,0)(4,0){2}{\line(0,1){4}}\multiput(0,0)(0,4){2}{\line(1,0){4}}\put(1.5,-0.6){\bf\large 15\ m}\put(4.4,2){\bf\large 15\ m}\end{picture}

Side of the square, a = 15 m

Perimeter of the square = 4a

           = 4(15 m)

           = 60 m

Area of the square = a²

          = (15 m)²

          = 225 m²

Square :

  • All four sides are equal
  • Each angle is 90°
  • The opposite sides are parallel to each other.
  • The diagonals bisect each other at 90°
  • The length of two diagonals are equal.
  • If side = a units

        Diagonal = a√2 units

        Perimeter = 4a units

        Area = a² sq.units
