Diameter of the circle (d)=10cm

Radius of the circle (r)=d/2=10/2=5cm

Total perimeter of the circle (P)=2πr

=31.43cm

Perimeter of the semi-circle= P/2

=15.71cm

Therefore,

Perimeter of the figure= (15.71+10)cm

= 25.71cm

Perimeter of the semicircle is 25.71 cm.

  • The complete length of a semicircle's boundary is considered to be its perimeter. Straight-edged forms are simple to compute the perimeter of since all the sides of a square may be summed to get the perimeter. Since a semicircle is the half of a circle with a curved and a straight boundary, the perimeter of a semicircle has a different formula.
  • It is computed by multiplying the diameter's length by the original circle's halved circumference.

Here, according to the given information, we are given that,

The diameter of the semicircle = 10 cm.

Now, we know that,

The perimeter of the semicircle is, \pi (\frac{d}{2} )+d.

Here, d is the diameter which is given as 10 cm.

Then, the perimeter = \pi (\frac{10}{2})+10 = 25.71 cm.

Hence, perimeter of the semicircle is 25.71 cm.
