Perimeter =100+22/7*42+100+22/7*42
=464 m

Hi ,

divide the given figure into 3 parts

first and third is two semicircles .

middle part is a rectangle .


1 ) diameter of the semicircle = 84 m

d = 84m

radius = d/2 = 84 / 2

r = 42 m

2 ) dimensions of the rectangle are

length = l = 100m

breadth = b = 84 m

Now ,

perimeter of the figure

= 2 × perimeter of semicircle + 2 × length of

rectangle

= 2 × πr + 2× l

= 2 [ πr + l ]

= 2 [ 22/7 × 42 + 100 ]

= 2 [ 22 × 6 + 100 ]

= 2 ( 132 + 100 )

= 2 × 232

= 465 m
