find the perimeter of the given figure, if the diameter of the smaller semicircle is 4 cm.

radius of larger semicircle is half of 3 times the diameter of small circle.
I.e 6cm
nd radius of small circle is 2cm.
3 circles so. their perimeter will be 3*πr..where r is 2cm.

diameter of big semi circle = 3× diameter of smaller semicircle = 3× 4 cm = 12 cm
so ,radius of big semicircle (R) = 6 cm
radius of smaller semi circle = 2 cm

now,
perimeter of given figure = perimeter of big semicircle + 3× perimeter of smaller semicircle .
= πR + 3× πr
=π( R + 3r )
=π( 6 + 3× 2)
=π( 12)
=12π cm
=12 ×3.14 cm
=37.68 cm
