Find the perimeter of the given figure, where AED is a semi-circle and ABCD is a rectangle

given AED is a semi circle.

we know that opposite sides of a rectangle is equal.

therefore BC = AD = 14cm

the diameter of the semi circle is 14cm.

perimeter of the semi-circle = πr

= 22/7 × 14

= 22 × 2

= 44cm

now, perimeter of the figure = AB + BC + DC + AED

= 20 + 14 + 20 + 44

= 34 + 64

= 98cm

The properties of rectangle Opposite sides of rectangle are equal.

Find

The perimeter of the given figure.

Now according to questions,,

Here in rectangle like opposite side are equal BC = AD = 14Cm.

The diameter of semi circle is 14 Cm.

Now we find perimeter of semi circle equal to πr .

 \frac{22}{ \cancel{7}} \times \cancel{ 14} \\ \\ 22 \times 2 \\ \\ 44

Again we find the perimeter of the given circle .

Sum of all sides of this figure.

AB + BC + CD + AED

20 + 14 + 20 + 44

34 + 64

98 Cm

Therefore the perimeter of the given figure is 98 Cm.
