Given :  A (-3, 5) B (3, 1), C (0, 3)

To Find : Distance from the x-axis and y-axis

Solution:

Distance of a point ( x , y )   from  x axis  is

| y |

Distance of a point ( x , y )   from  y axis  is

| x |

Distance of A (-3, 5)    from  x axis  is

| 5 | = 5

Distance of B (3, 1)   from  x axis  is

| 1 | =1

Distance of C (0, 3)   from  x axis  is

| 3 | = 3

Distance of A (-3, 5)    from  y axis  is

| -3 | = 3

Distance of B (3, 1)   from  y axis  is

| 3 | = 3

Distance of C (0, 3)   from  y axis  is

| 0 | =0
