Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The coordinates of A(4,5) be(x, y1)

The coordinates of B(6,-7) be (x2, y2).

Let R(x, y) be the coordinates which divides the line AB.

Formula \:  used  \: :-

Section formula,

(mx2+nx1/m+n) =x

(my2+ny1/m+n) =y

As this is a case in which the line is equally divided so m:n=1:1.

Therefore,

=>(1×6+1×4/2)=x

(5)=x

=>(1×-7+1×5/2)=y

(-1)=y

Hence the required answer is x=5.
