position:

=>v=-18cm
size:
m= height of image/height of object=-v/u
=> height of image =-1
therefore diminished

=>v=-18cm

1/v=1/f-1/u
Therefore 1/v= -1/12 - (-1/36)
=-1/12 + 1/36
Take LCM
=-3+1/36
=-2/36
=-1/18
Therefore v=-18

Size of image
h2/h1=-v/u
h2/2=-(-18/-36)
h2/2=-(18/36)
h2=-18*2/36
h2=-1
1/v=1/f-1/u
Therefore 1/v= -1/12 - (-1/36)
