solution:-

let the present age of Rahul = x years

according to the question

after six years his age will be x+6 years

eight years ago his age was x-8 years

x+6= (x-8)×2

x+6 =2x-16

2x-x=6+16

1x=22

so, the present age of Rahul us 22 years ..
