No. of red Balls = 8
No. of blue balls = 6
No. of white balls = 5

Total No. of balls = 8 + 6 + 5 = 19


Let S be sample space
n(S) - No. of ways of drawing a ball from 19 balls
=> n(S) = 19C1 = 19

Let E be the Event that ball drawn is blue
n(E) - No. of Favourable cases that satisfy occurrence of Event E
n(E) = 6C1 = 6

Probability = n(E)/n(S)
= 6/19
