Since metal is a good conductor of heat, so according to law of thermodynamics the system and the surrounding tries to achieve thermal equilibrium, due to that the iron chair will lose some of its heat to get in thermal equilibrium with the cold surrounding whereas wood is not a conductor of heat so it will remain in its initial temperature state.
