a) Probability of drawing the King of hearts and a red card
b) Probability of drawing the King of hearts and a black card

Progress

a) I get a red card and a king hearts: P(R or K). There are 26 reds card out of 52 cards, so P(R) = 26/52 = 1/2. There are 4 kings out of 52 cards, so P(K) = 4/52 = 1/13. There is 1 card which is a red card and a king of hearts so

P(H and K)=113×12=126P(H and K)=113×12=126

But I don't know if this is right

Total sample space S=52
Probability of getting a king =452
Probability of getting a heart=1352
Probability of getting a red card =2652
Probability of getting a king or a heart or a red card
⇒452+1352+2652−[252+152+1252]
⇒4352−1552
⇒2852
⇒713
∴ Probability of getting a king or a heart or a red card is 713

sakshi8918: sorry the ans is7/13
