Here's your answer friend,

Let E be the event of getting probability of having exactly one girl in a family of three children

Here total outcomes = 3
and total favourable outcomes = 1

therefore probability (E) = Total no. of favourable outcomes / Total outcomes

P(E) = 1/3

probability =favorable outcome /total outcome
= 3/8
