GIVEN:

 \alpha  = 5 \\  \beta  = 8 \\  \alpha  +  \beta  = 13 \\  \alpha  \beta  = 40 \\ we \: know \\  {x}^{2}  - ( \alpha  +  \beta ) +  \alpha  \beta  = 0 \\  =  > substituting \: from \: above \: values \\  =  >  {x}^{2}   - 13x + 40 = 0 \\  \\  \\ hence \: this \: is \: the \: required \: quadratic \: equation
