hello users .......
we have given that :
2 , -1 / 3 are the roots of quadratic equation
we have to find that quadratic equation ?
solution:-
here;
we know that :
For a quadratic equation : ax² + bx + c = 0
sum of roots = - b / a ;
and
product of roots = c / a
here;
sum of roots
= -b / a = - 1 / 3 + 2
=> -b / a = 5 / 3
=> b / a = - 5 / 3
and
product of roots
= c / a = - 1 / 3 * 2 = -2 / 3
By comparison ;
Here, we get
a = 3 , b = -5 and c = -2
Hence;
the required quadratic equation is
3x² - 5x - 2 = 0 answer
