Answer:here sum of zeroes is 1\4 and product is 1

Step-by-step explanation:so alpha + beta is 1\4 and alpha into beta is 1

so by formula x^2 -(sum of zeroes)+(product of 0es)

so answer is k[x^2-1\4x +1]

take k =4

so we get 4x^2-x+4

Qᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ✯

Find the quadratic polynomial sum of whose zeros is 1/4 and product of its zeros is -1.

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ✯

Given that:

α + β = 14  and αβ = -1

⇒α + β = 14 = -ba ..........(i)

⇒αβ = -1 or αβ = -44 = ca  ....... (ii)

On comparing both equations we have,

a = 4, b = -1 and c = - 4

using general quadratic polynomial

ax2 + bx + c

⇒ 4x2 + (-1)x + (-4)

⇒ 4x2 - x - 4 Answer

Hope it helps you ✌️
