Given :- Find the quadratic polynomial whose zeroes are 1/2 & (-4) ?

Answer :-

we know that, the quadratic polynomial is given by,

  • x² - (sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes = 0

so, putting values we get,

→ x² - [(1/2) + (-4)] + * (1/2) * (-4) = 0

→ x² - [(1 - 8)/2]x + (-2) = 0

→ x² - (-7/2)x - 2 = 0

→ (2x² + 7x - 4)/2 = 0

2x² + 7x - 4 = 0 (Ans.)
