Given :

  • x³-12x+11x-5 is a poynomial .

To Find :

  • Quotient and Remainder when it is divided by (x-3) .

Solution :

By Remainder Theorem :

\longmapsto\tt{x-3=0}

\longmapsto\tt{x=3}

Putting x = 3 :

\longmapsto\tt{{(3)}^{3}-12{(3)}^{2}+11(3)-5}

\longmapsto\tt{27-12(9)+33-5}

\longmapsto\tt{27-108+33-5}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{-53}

Refer to the attachment

\longmapsto\tt\bf{Quotient={x}^{2}-9x-16}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{Remainder=-53}
