we know that ,

  • 1 degree = 60' and 1 min = 1/60 degree

So,

= - 47 + 30/60 degree

= - 47 + 1/2 degree

= -(94 + 1)/2 degree

= - 95/2 degree

  • 180 ° = π radian
  • 1° = π/180 radian

= - 95/2 × π/180 radian

= - 19/2 × π/36 radian

= - 19π/72 radian

  • So, - 47°30' = -19π/72 radian
