- Centre of circle is origin .
- A another point on circle (3,-4) .
Find :-
- Radius of circle
Explanation
Let,
C be a circle , and O(0,0) be centre of circle .
A another point P(3,-4) be on circle.
So, We calculate Distance from origin to point P
Using Formula
If , two point A(x,y) & B(x',y') .
Then, distance will be ,
Here,
- x = 0
- y = 0
- x' = 3
- y' = -4.
So, Now ,for radius
==> OP = √[{(0-3)² + (0 + 4)²}]
==> OP = √[(-3)² + (4)²]
==> OP = √(9 + 16)
==> OP = √25
==> OP = 5 units.
Hence
- Radius of Circle be 5 unit.
