area of circle=πr²

144π=πr²

r²=144π/π

r²=144

r=√144

r=12cm

circumference=2πr

=2×22/7×12

=528/7

=75.43cm²

ankur112006: but in my book answer is written circumference is 24pie

Answer:

area of a circle = π * r sq

144 π = π * r sq

∴ r = 12 cm

radius = 12 cm

circumference = 2πr

=2 × π × 12

=24π cm sq.  (24×3.14= 75.36 cm sq.)

hope it's helpful..........
