Solution

Area of a circle = 144 πcm²

We know that area of circle is πr² ,so

πr² = 144π

here π of lhs has been cancelled out byπ of RHS

r². = 144

r = √144

r = 12 cm

Now we have to find out the circumference of given circle .

we know that circumference of circle is 2πr , hence

2πr = 2 ×22/7 × 12

2πr = 528 /7

Circumference = 75.42 cm

Answer:

area =

\pi \: r {}^{2}  = 144\pi

r {}^{2}  = 144 \\ r =  12

circumference = 2πr

= 2 × π × 12

=24π
