We know,

Central angle (θ) = (length arc)/radiu.(1)

Convert angle in radian: Angle in radians = Angle in degrees x π/180°

= 45° x π/180°

= π/4 From (1), Radius

= (length arc)/Central angle

= 33/(π/4) = 132 x 7/22

= 42

Therefore radius is 42 cm.

Given : a circle in which a central angle of 45 degree intercepts an arc of length 33 cm

To find : radius of a circle

Solution:

Let say radius of circle r cm

Arc length = (arc angle / 360° ) * 2πr

Arc length = 33 cm

π = 22/7

Arc angle = 45°

=> 33 = (45° / 360°) × 2 ( 22/7) r

=> 33 = ( 1/8) * 2 ( 22/7) r

=> 33 = ( 1/4) ( 22/7) r

=> 33 = ( 1/2) (11/7) r

=> 3 = (1/2)(1/7)r

=> r = 42 cm

radius of a circle = 42 cm
