momentum =mass x acceleration
acceleration=final velocity - initial velocity/time
=10-0/5
acceleration=2m/s^2
so momentum=20*2
Ans. 40kg m/s

To Find :

  • change in Momentum

Solution :

  • mass of object = 20kg
  • initial velocity (u) = 0
  • Final velocity (v) = 10m/s
  • time = 5

\green{\textrm{Change in Momentum = mv - mu}}

= 20 × 10 - 20 ×0

= 200 - 0

= 200 kg m/s

OR

  • p = mv

›› p = 20 × 10

›› p =200 kgm/s

Hence

  • momentum of body is 200 kgm/s.
