Given :

Principal = 196

Amount = 225

Time = 2 years

Finding Rate percentage -

a = p(1 + r) ^{2}

225 = 196(1 + r)^{2}

 \dfrac{225}{196}  = (1 + r)^{2}

1 + r =  \sqrt{ \dfrac{225}{196} }

1 + r =  \dfrac{15}{14}

r =  \dfrac{15}{14}  - 1

r =  \dfrac{15 - 14}{14}  =  \dfrac{1}{14}

r =  \dfrac{1}{14}  \times 100 = 7.14\%

Rate percentage = 7.14 %

Answer :

Principal = 196

Amount = 225

Time = 2 years

Simple Interest = Amount - Principal

= 225 - 196

= 29

R = S.I. x100 / P x T

. = 29 x 100 / 196 x 2

. = 29 x. 25 / 98

. = 725/98

= 7/ 31

. 98 %
