Find the ratio between total surface area and curved surface areagiven that height and radius are 7.5 cm and 3.5 cm.

SOLUTION

radius = 3.5 cm, height = 7.5 cm


Curved Surface Area of cylinder is 2πrh

= 2x22/7 x3.5 x7.5

= 165 cm^2

Total Surface Area  = 2π*r*(h+r)

= 2 x22/7 x 3.5(3.5+7.5)

= 242cm^2


ratio between total surface area and curved surface area

= >242 : 165

= >22 :15
