Here is your solution

Let the required ratio be k:1
Then,

-8 =  \frac{ - 4k + 2}{k + 1}  \\  - 8k - 8 =  - 4k + 2 \\  - 8k + 4k = 2 + 8 \\  - 4k = 10 \\  \\ k =  \frac{ - 10}{4}

Therefore the required ratio is -10:4

Let the ratio be k: 1.

by \: using \: section \: formula \\  \\  - 8 =  \frac{ - 4k + 2}{k + 1}  \\  - 8k - 8 =  - 4k  + 2 \\  - 8k + 4k = 2 + 8 \\  - 4k = 10 \\ k =   \frac{ - 10}{4}  \\ k =  \frac{ - 5}{2}  \\  \\ so \: the \: ratio  =  \frac{ - 5}{2}
